Biography
Dr. Jonathan Shapiro is a dermatologist and the director of the teledermatology service in Maccabi Healthcare Services, the second largest HMO in Israel. In addition to these roles, he is a lecturer at the Technion School of Medicine in Haifa and at the Medical School in Tel Aviv University. Dr. Shapiro is a consultant for Predicta-Med LTD developing machine learning algorithms for early detection of autoimmune and inflammatory mediated diseases.
Dr. Shapiro is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV).
Earlier Career
During the years 1985-1990, Dr. Shapiro worked as a computer programmer. In 1997, Dr. Shapiro graduated from Medical School at Tel Aviv University and later in 2003 obtained a senior diploma in dermatology at the Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv.

He conducts training for family physicians in dermatology.
